Pastor Don Springer
Don and his family joined the MBC family in January of 2019, where he serves as our Lead Pastor. The Springers moved from the Westcoast to Hamilton in 2014 for Don to work on a PhD in theology at McMaster Divinity College. Now permanently entrenched in Southern Ontario, Don enjoys balancing life with a beautiful family of six with the joys of pastoral ministry and the vigour of academic research, writing, and teaching. Hobbies include coaching soccer, reading, and walking as well as always trying to remain faithful to the Vancouver Canucks and Whitecaps. Don is often found in either a local coffee shop or walking around the neighbourhood as he thinks and prays about the next sermon.
Elders Board
Our Elders at Mission Baptist Church are: Ervin Hildebrandt (Chair), Walter Schroedter (Vice-Chair), Ruth Horst, Harvey Maier, Scott Snip, and Peter Gruener. The Elders meet together on a monthly basis to pray for and discuss matters relating to the vision and goals of the church, serve the local congregation in various ways, and are available for questions, concerns or suggestions.
